Hello From Massachusetts
Hey, everyone. I'm Cyan. My fursona is a polar wildcat (like a polar bear, except it's a feline). I've been in the fandom since 2000. I'm mainly a furry artist. I think up anthropomorphic animal characters and draw them. I even once designed a mascot for a minor league hockey team.

Anyway, I actually live in Massachusetts. But the reason I'm here is because I've been hearing about the Delaware Furbowl, and I'm actually interested in attending. We've got three different furbowls here in MA. All three are really nice. But from what I've heard, the Delaware Furbowl is wicked awesome.

I looked at the Furbowl schedule, and the earliest one I could attend would be the one in December. It's too late for me to plan a trip to the September Furbowl (unless I win the money through a scratch ticket or something), I'm likely to be at FurFright in October, and the Furbowl's already booked for the same weekend FurFright will be operating, and there's no Furbowl scheduled for November.

I can't promise that I'll make it to the December Furbowl. I'll try though. If not, there's sometime in 2013 (and beyond) that I can aim for.

I guess that's it from what I have to say. Smile

RE: Hello From Massachusetts
furbowl for october (that intersected with furfright) was actually moved to november 3rd, so that might be an option for you! Smile just updated the schedule to reflect that.

it's pretty awesome that you're hearing about our meets all the way up there! welcome to the forum, and i hope to meet you at an upcoming furbowl!

Thanks for the welcome, guys! Smile

Yeah, the Delaware Furbowl's gotten attention from up here in the Bay State. I'm even betting the rest of the fandom from around the world has been hearing about it!

I still don't know about making it to the November 3rd Furbowl, even though it won't interfere with FurFright. This thing with Social Security and the current debt I'm in might keep me from attending the November Furbowl. But I'll see what I can do.

We've got four seasons in MA, and they're not spring, summer, fall, and winter. They're almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction. There's a plethora of Dunkin' Donuts locations. (I'm not complaining about it, though. DD all the way, baybee!) The sports teams we have here have been winning a handful of championships over the past decade, and if you think it's just with the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics, there's also the Major League Lacrosse team, the Boston Cannons who were champs last year, and the women's football team, the Boston militia with two championships (2010 in the IWFL & 2011 in the WFA). Either than all that, that's all I can think of for now.

We usually get some humid days, and plenty of rainy days. But yeah, the weather during a lot of months through out the year isn't as tough on suiters. And trust me, I have a friend here in MA who attend DFB at one time, and thought it was incredibly awesome. That should be a sign that DFB has been doing well enough to get attention from other furs in other parts of the world. Wink
