2012 Ocean City, NJ DooDah Parade

We are now organizing the annual furry costume character appearance of "Rapid T. Rabbit and Friends" at the DooDah Parade in Ocean City NJ, this year taking place on Saturday April 14. Those of you who have joined us previously know what a fun weekend on the Jersey shore it has been, and we hope that you can return again.

This year's Grand Marshall is actor and vocal artist Chuck McCann, whose career has spanned generations, from his Live kids' TV show "Let's Have Fun" in New York that followed Soupy Sales on Channel 5, to movie roles such as Antinopolous in "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter", starring in Saturday morning shows like "Far Out Space Nuts" (alongside Bob Denver previously from "Gilligan's Island"), voicing Dumptruck and Gibber on Disney's "TailSpin", and of course Sonny who goes "Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs". We are asking everybody to *individually* signup in order to take part in our parade brigade (please not "I'm coming and oh yeah, bringing 3 others" etc.) by visiting http://doodah.surple.com . Please signup with your RL name and include additional details in the Comments field. Also everybody has to Read and Agree (certify by checkmark) to abide by the Hotel's rules, which apply to *Everybody* whether actually staying at the official hotel or visiting from elsewhere. The signup page will updated periodically with new information as the weekend draws near, or you can also be updated via the email list.

If you aren't already on it, please also join the distributed email list for the event to keep up-to-date with news, late information or ask questions about the parade, event or weekend. Yes you do! It's not something you have to pay for, but we like to have an accurate head count and make sure everyone who marches with us is part of our group. We don't need any mystery mascots! Plus it allows Richard to properly credit you in the annual DooDah episode of Rapid T. Rabbit & Friends.

You wear your own character! It has to be a mascot-style full or partial costume. No anime cat people, if that's what you were referring to. =]
