How was your time at Anthrocon?
I had a great time at Anthrocon 2010 and this was my furst time at Anthrocon and convention fursuiting. I met Kitt3ns, Reaux, and other furry folks from Furst State. My fursuit: Modern Stone-Age Ferret. I wish that I could go on about my experience at AC but I am under a tight schedule. Hopefurry, you can share your detailed experience here on this thread.

The photo here is too small but visible nonetheless. If you wish, you may click on the photo to open it. Furst State members may print or save my faux-autographed photo of my fursuit. However, posting on another thread or another website is prohibited. This is the Furst State's copy and this privilege is only open to Furst State members. If you would like a clean hand-autographed copy, please PM me.

Bust con was kind of a bush, I've had better experiences. Pseudo con report here: http://slaphappybunny.livejournal.com/56700.html

Regardless, I am very grateful for the friends who were so gracious to help me make it there. Thanks, guys <3 *big hugs*

OK, that's it, if I have any money left over after the Power Tour next year, I am going to this

I can't draw, but I'm trying to learn, so until further notice, my fursona is Burt Reynolds

I was pretty unimpressed this year. I'm looking forward to MFF and FC much more. AC has been more lackluster every year.

RE: How was your time at Anthrocon?
The biggest problem with AC, and especially with how large its gotten, is that it becomes less social. Everyone goes seemingly with the intention of catching all of their internet friends at the con, and with how many people attend, that's all anyone has the time to do. At smaller cons, people tend to be more open and social and less flustered by how much they're trying to acccomplish in 4 days. So yeah, I got to see some old faces again and party with em a bit, but that wasn't my goal. I can't wait to get my suit, since I think I've done everything else there is to be done at a con at this point.

Meh I had an AWESOME time. I met a whole load of new people just randomly had a conversation with them. OH and the dancing was awesome. I finally got to suit/dance. I went so crazy that when I got back I just collapsed in the room.... the events could have been better. more suiting stuff.

RE: How was your time at Anthrocon?
I had an absolutely awesome time; between running into members from the Furst State (especially lunch with Slappy and reaux! Smile ), hanging with the CrossTime Cafe crew at PonyCon, and seeing Miss Mab again (for the first time in 6 years!), it was beyond epic.. so much nostalgia, memories, and new experiences, and wonder why I ever left, and plan to return next year (hopefully with Kria in tow this time!!!!)...

RE: How was your time at Anthrocon?
Okay, so it is out there that I paid that much fur a cattle tag. I want to say that the cattle tag auction was not my proudest moment at Anthrocon, or my life fur that matter; in fact, it was downright embarassing. If I could, I would wanted to pay no more than $150 fur the tag. However, I wanted the cattle tag as much as Growly the Tiger wanted it, and the only way to get it was to be the highest bidder. I'm not stupid and I don't do auctions much, but it was last cattle tag and as such it was a collectors' item. This is what happens at collectors' auctions. Needless to say, this has created strife with my family; I had to deal with ultimata this week ranging from no Anthrocon/furry conventions to forcing me to sell my ferret costume if I don't recoup the money from the cattle tag auction. So I am on a short leash with a $1,600 cattle tag attached to it. So what?! I can't expect everyone to understand.

I didn't see that otter once all weekend, where the heck were you? XD

Also Fake Jox was no match for actual Jox. Accept no substitutes. ;3

I had a pretty good time, although I think it was better last year or the year before that.

Also... charity auction video - wow! I can't imagine bidding like that, even for a collectible.

I can kinda understand their side too, I mean I know this is a poor frame of reference since it's a luxury item as well, but a $1600'll buy you like... 5 playstation 3s. And those shits are expensive.
