Maybe get rid of the thread rating? No one seems to be really using it, it just takes up space and load time

there is one! it's a link that says "mark this forum read," right on the top right of the page.

RE: Questions or comments regarding our new platform?
It's a bit to ask, but perhaps making sure all of the themes have consistent features would be good. I notice that my theme (BlackEvo4) is missing a link to the chat section, and most of the themes don't have a way to change the MyMood feature.

I'd also like to see the Reputation system eliminated; it seems like drama waiting to happen.

Thanks for pointing out the absence of the links, I'll fix that right away.

the reputation system should be gone already, i'm pretty sure we disabled it. could you send me a screenshot of where you see it? i've looked through all the different themes and i can't find where you're seeing it!

Ah, it is gone, I just didn't notice. My bad.

On an unrelated note, does MyBB include an option for BBCode tags in the post editor? (i.e. a button that automatically inserts a url or img tag.) I'm sure people on this forum are going to want to post links and images, but may not know BBCode.

if you use the reply button (not the quick reply), there are little buttons with will insert bbcode for bold, italic, links, images, etc!

I swear the HTML editor bar wasn't showing up for my theme before. I'm either woefully unobservant or someone is changing things very quickly.

RE: Questions or comments regarding our new platform?
Honestly I think the new formatting is too "media rich", i.e. actual post content only consumes about 15% of space on the page. Most posts are short anyway (only a few sentences),and can be easily lost among the buttons, status info, etc. in the process of scanning down a page. I think this is detrimental in any forum, which is inherently post-driven The best example of a large, efficient forum structure is SomethingAwful
(Ex. http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthr...id=3268030 ) where the bare minimum of extraneous information is shared within the actual post.

i can see if there are any minimal themes that can be installed for a cleaner look!

RE: Questions or comments regarding our new platform?
I do agree with the new look being a little too not-minimal, but I would like to see avatars allowed to be 200x200 (or whatever they used to be) again. I always liked having larger avatars.

Avatars are allowed to be 200x200. Actually, I might have even removed the limit...
Avatars should be shown full size in your profile, but 150x150 on the postbit. Otherwise, we have people with way over-sized postbits.

I actually like this. I once joined a forum with ridiculously high avatar sizes. Like, some were at least 500 pixels wide in the postbits. It was awful.

What a piece of work is a furry! how Questionable in Reason? how infinite in quirkiness? in tail and fursuit how bold and peculiar? in Action, how like an animal? in apprehension, how like a man?
